When Linda S. Melin began teaching Write and Publish Online at Oregon Coast Community College in the spring of 2001, she envisioned a need for an online contact point for her students. She soon realized that the power of the Internet to link people through email, newsletters, and web sites could reach beyond her students to connect writers up and down the coast.

Beach Net Writers Co-op is an embryo of an idea -- a group of writers living on the Oregon Coast who use the Internet as a means to expand their creativity and their writing careers. It is open to the beginner and the more experienced writer -- to those who use the Internet daily and those who are just starting to learn how to use this powerful tool.

Where Beach Net Writers will go is up to you. If there is a way that you would like to be involved and contribute or a way that Beach Net Writers Co-op can help you, let us know. There are lots of ideas and possibilities waiting to be explored. Just as a walk along our beaches always brings something new and different, so it is with Beach Net Writers Co-op.
