Explore New Writing Opportunities

Lincoln City, OR, March 30, 2001 – Explore the exciting writing opportunities created by the Internet in a new class, "Write and Publish Online." Local author, Linda Melin, will teach the class at Oregon Coast Community College, Lighthouse Square campus, Lincoln City, starting Wed, April 25, 2001, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.. "The Internet has opened a whole new world for writers," says Linda Melin. While good writing is always good writing, the little things you learned years ago, such as how to query and format your manuscript have changed." This eight week course is for beginning and experienced writers interested in using the Internet to get published and to develop and promote their writing careers. You can register for the class at any OCCC campus. The Lighthouse Square campus office is open 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday thorough Friday. Cost for the class is $64 ($34 for seniors over 62). For more information contact the North County (Lincoln City) OCCC office at 996-4919.

Linda Melin’s latest book, a romantic mystery, The Murder Game, will be published in April as an eBook (electronic book) by Kudlicka Publishing (. "I couldn’t get a New York publisher to look at my manuscript because I couldn’t find an agent. After being rejected by 60 agents, I almost gave up, when I discovered the Internet. A couple of weeks and my book was accepted by a reputable, royalty paying publisher." Linda Melin writing as Linda Suzane is a Contributing Editor at www.suite101.com. She has articles and stories published on Themestream and WrittenByMe. She is a participant in an online critique group and belongs to numerous online writing communities. She has developed her several web sites, including devoted to murder mystery games.

"The Internet and eBooks are a golden opportunity for writers not to be missed. I expect everyone of my students to be published by the end of class," Linda Melin says.
